Youth Tournaments
Holiday Scratch Tourney:
The 36th Annual Junior Holiday Scratch Championships was held at Bradley Bowl in Windsor Locks, CT on 12/29 and 12/30. A number of the Gardner Ten Pin youth bowlers attended this tournament (Zack Moore, Aaron Gilmour, Corey Umbrello, Regina Pelham, Samantha Provencher and Rob Rahaim). Samantha Provencher finished in 2nd PLACE in her division. CONGRATS, Samantha!!!
SCHOLARSHIP TOURNAMENT:
The 6th Annual Baker’s Team Scholarship Tournament will be held here at Gardner Ten Pins on Saturday, February 4th and Sunday, February 5th. This tournament teams Bantam and Prep bowlers with the Juniors and Seniors. The cost of this tournament is $12.00 per bowler.
This tournament emphasizes the meaning of team spirit !!! In past tournaments, this has helped the younger bowlers interact and connect with the older bowlers and has promoted good sportsmanship. Scholarships are awarded to champions of this tournament.
Joe Lynch Step Ladder Tournament:
Our 12th Annual Joe Lynch Step Ladder Tournament will be held at Gardner Ten Pins on Sunday, February 19th! This tournament is sponsored by our Local Bowling Association (GGUSBC) and is FREE to all qualified bowlers.
Bowlers qualify during their regular league play for three weeks (January 7th, 14th and 21st ) and their highest two-series totals are used to determine the first 5 qualifiers in each Division. There are four divisions (Div A: Ages 6-9, Div B: Ages 9-11, Div C: Ages 12-15, Div D: Ages 16 and up).
There is also an award presented to the high series game plus handicap in each division.
